The challenge
Three generations, four business units and one leadership team that met every Monday for four hours. Decisions were postponed until everyone agreed, which often meant never.
What we did
We wrote the strategy down on one page, mapped 38 recurring decisions to a single owner each and replaced the Monday meeting with three short forums.

The result
Average time from proposal to decision fell from 23 to 11 days. Leadership meeting time dropped by a third, and two long-stalled investments were approved in the first month.
“The first advisors who left us with a working system instead of a slide deck. We felt the difference in week two.”
